Post-procedure skin care is as important as the procedure itself in order to obtain the best aesthetic result. It is essential to choose a post-procedure care product which fulfils certain criteria.
An ideal product should be: transparent, semi-permeable, applied easily at home and protect the skin. Additionally, it should accelerate healing and reduce side effects.1
Fully occlusive post-procedure care, such as petrolatum based products, are not ideal because they increase the heat sensation. Furthermore, they can cause maceration, a softening and breaking down of the skin, which can delay healing and promote bacterial growth.

Once dry, Stratacel may be covered with sunscreen or cosmetics.

Clinical Results:

Stratacel is 50% more effective in the reduction of downtime than petroleum-based
products, starting as early as 2 days post-procedure.
Stratacel showed a 63% greater reduction of erythema compared to petrolatum
based product on day 7 post-procedure.
Stratacel normalises inflammation from a very early stage of healing, therefore
reduces the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and plays an important
role of the treatment of darker skin types.
