Dermal Needling Treatment
Dermal needling is a treatment that uses very fine needles to create micro-channels in the skin at various depths. This stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibres to create a range of noticeable benefits.
We micro needle with expert precision, technique and timing, using the EXCEED medical grade needling system. Microneedling triggers growth factors for building new collagen. Very tiny needles are used to penetrate the top layer of the skin vertically causing localised and controlled damage without substantially affecting the structure of the epidermis. The creation of controlled microchannels (this can create up to 900 microchannels per second) in the skin instigates the regeneration of skin cells via a natural process of healing. Awakening the fibroblast that lies within the deeper layers of the skin, healthy collagen is naturally produced
Our medical grade derma needling system from Dermaviduals, called EXCEED is a German made device. It is clinically proven to visibly reduce wrinkles & treat acne scarring, in particular, to reduce the depth of scars and to normalise the skin structure.
We have been trained to use the expert technique and timing, for this medical grade system. This medical grade needling system, EXCEED is only available in our Wellington location.

Prior to treatment
Avoid sun exposure prior to treatment and stop vitamin for 48 hours prior.
What to expect during the treatment
Dermal needling feels like rough exfoliation on the skin and is not painful. Your therapist will adjust the pressure levels to ensure you’re comfortable throughout the treatment.
Post-treatment
This treatment may leave you a little flushed after, and this will fade within a few hours. Avoid active serums and sun exposure for at least 72 hours after treatment. You may be flushed, like light sun burn for 1-24 hours.
