RF microneedling is an advanced skin treatment that combines the power of tiny needles with radiofrequency (RF) energy to target deeper layers of the skin, where it delivers the most benefit. the treatment is generally very tolerable. You might experience a slightly prickly sensation during the procedure, and afterward, your skin may feel warm and tight, similar to the sensation of mild sunburn.
You may experience mild redness in the treated areas for the first 3-4 hours after the procedure. However, due to RF’s focus on targeting deeper layers of the skin, downtime is significantly reduced—typically around 24 hours. Most patients can return to work and their usual activities the next day with minimal visible signs of treatment.
You might notice minor pinpoint bleeding where the micro-needles have pierced the surface of your skin, and in rare cases, some minor bruising. Mild swelling is also possible immediately after the treatment, but this usually resolves within 24-72 hours. Occasionally, a light crust or scab may form in certain areas, which is perfectly normal. It’s essential not to pick or rub these areas, allowing them to heal naturally.
You might also observe some temporary skin patterning in the treated area. While there is a very slight risk of infection, maintaining cleanliness of the treated area is key to preventing this.
After your Secret RF treatment, it’s important to avoid applying any skincare products, including washing your face, until the following day. However, if you wish to cover any lingering redness, you can carefully apply makeup about 24 hours after the treatment.
Collagen production and remodelling begin approximately 4-6 weeks after your treatment and can continue for up to 6 months. Over time, you may notice your skin becoming tighter and more lifted, with improvements in skin tone and texture, reduced pore size, and lightened pigmentation. Wrinkles will appear smoother, and the prominence of scars may diminish.
For those receiving treatment for hyperhidrosis, there will be a permanent reduction in the number of sweat glands, with a potential decrease in sweat volume of up to 75% after two treatment sessions.
